How to make a bow board tutorial

I have branched out from crochet and started to make bows. 

But I was just putting them in a box to keep them away from my boys. 

They were getting squished so I thought, "Hey, why not make myself a Bow Board!?"

I know there are quite a few tutorials on how to make a bow board but here is another one on how I made mine with an old and abused white board.

Materials needed:

Old white or chalk board

Quilt batting

Fabric (I bought a yard and had left overs)

Ribbon of your choice ( I used 3/8 in)

Scotch tape (optional)

Scissors

Hot glue gun

Ok on to the board!

Take your board and cut the batting to fit just the size of the board

I took some scotch tape and taped the corners down just so it would stay

(I don't know how thick the batting was I got this from my grandma who use to 

make yarn tied quilts. But it was on the more thinner side)

Now cut your fabric with about 1 1/2" from the sides. 

(Pardon the grease stains like I said old and abused)

When you have it cut out take your glue gun and glue the parallel sides down

Make sure you pull it a little tight so it does not sag

Glue and fold the other sides (I folded them like a present so they looked nice)

Next measure your board, mine was 23" wide

I marked the middle and then measured 3" increments from there

Do that to the other parallel side so your ribbon will be straight

Cut your ribbon so you have about 1- 1 1/2" off both sides

Now arrange your ribbon the way you want it to look 

Put them to the side in the order you wanted them to make it easier

Flip your board over and start gluing your ribbon on, again pulling them a little tight 

Tada your done!

You can glue ribbon to the top so you can hang it up on your little girls bedroom wall
You could also glue some more fabric down on the back so you couldn't see the back of the board
